Monday 11th May
Hi Year 6,
We really hope you had a wonderful, 3-day weekend and feel refreshed and energised to tackle this week's tasks. Today would have been the start of SATs week - we have written a little poem for you about not doing your SATs. You can find it at the bottom of this page.
English: We've had some really good feedback from you that you like it when there is a 'theme' to the English tasks and you get to do a piece of work split over a few days. So this week, you are going to write a letter. This isn't one of those 'we'll write a letter in a book and nothing comes of it' situations., you're actually going to write a letter to someone in Year 6. We will print them out and post them, you just need to write them. See Miss Pattenden's video for more information.

Maths: This week, we are continuing with fractions. You know the drill by now: click on the picture below to take you to the video and the follow-up worksheets are at the bottom of this page.
Science: This week, after English and Maths, there is going to be a practical Science task that you can do at home. Each activity has the equipment listed that you need (so you can plan ahead), the method, the reason why the experiment works and a research box which suggests some further research you can do, if you wish.
We can't wait to see the outcome of these!
