Hi Year 6,
Have you been doing the sun dance because this beautiful weather is back and looks like it's here to stay, wahoo! We hope you've had a lovely weekend.
A quick starter: Have a go at this Pobble task.
I hope you are enjoying the new JK Rowling story. Today is chapter six. Click on the link, have a read and then see what task we'd like you to complete below.
The children love to play in the garden but Spittleworth and Flapoon weren’t fond of children at all. They thought they made far too much noise in the late afternoon.
Do not jump in the fountains!
Do not pull the tails of the peacocks!
Do not make noise!
Do not climb on the statues!
Imagine you are Spilttleworth and Flapoon. Design your own poster to make sure the children obey all the rules!
Maths: Today is the next step from last Thursday's work on one-step problems. Yes, you guessed it, two-step problems!
Leaver's Booklet: Remember when we did Haiku poems a few weeks ago? That's the poem where the first line has 5 syllables, the next line has 7 syllables, and the last line has 5 syllables (5, 7, 5).
Well, today we'd like you to transfer that skill and write 4 haiku verses about your time at Alwoodley Primary. I recommend drafting them first to ensure you have the correct number of syllables per line, and then copy up in neat with some relevant illustrations.
