Happy Monday Year 6! Hope you've all had a lovely weekend - the sun has reappeared which means lots of time outside.
The challenge this week is to get over 50 of Year 6 onto Spelling shed on a hive game AND beat the teachers! New spellings have been set - make sure you go on daily.
A quick starter. Have a go at this Pobble task.
I hope you have enjoyed reading the new JK Rowling story. It is great to see so many of you tweeting - I really hope you get a reply! Just imagine if one of your pictures is actually used in her book when its published! Today is chapter eleven. Click on the link, have a read and then see what task we'd like you to complete below.
The King, his two Lords and his royal guards stayed the night at Kurdsburg’s finest inn where everything from the bed mattress to the food was at pure luxury.
Think of what you had for dinner last night. Today, we'd like you to write an advert or a description of the meal as it would be seen in a menu at Kurdsburg's finest inn. Now you may have to be super creative here!
For example, a slice of chicken could be described as, 'Hand-prepared, succulent chicken, carefully roasted and basted in the finest oils, finished with Himalayan rock salt delicately scattered on top.
*Top tip: Have a look at some M&S food adverts and listen to how they make their food sound super appealing.**
Quick Starter- a maths game to test you skills!

Challenge yourself across 10 different KS2 maths topics from the Mysterious Mountains of Multiplication to the Deadly Sea of Shapes.
This week we are moving onto area and perimeter. This is hopefully a revision of previous work as we covered it earlier in Year 6.
The photographs we have seen of your leavers books are looking fantastic. Well done.
Leavers activity for today is: Where do you see yourself in the future? This sheet is in your packs. Don't forget to decorate with pictures/patterns etc and stick it into you booklets.
