Learning Together, Growing Stronger.

Monday 30th March

Hi Year 6,

We hope you've had a lovely weekend. Did you see the snow?! Crazy weather!

A big happy birthday to LP for yesterday and a happy birthday for VM today!

Mrs Denham set herself a new goal yesterday: to take up running again and run a half a marathon race when social distancing is over. She went for a run yesterday which was hard (and freezing cold) but she felt good for having something to work towards.

Miss Pattenden spent the weekend making dens in the back garden. She's set herself a challenge to collect resource on her daily walk each day with the aim to make a bigger and better at the weekend.

Normally at school, when we need a little bit of motivation, we do a dance. So this morning, shake off those cobwebs and lets join Mr Hippo for a sing and boogie!

For English this week, we have a new task and we want you to tackle it a day at a time, like we normally would in school. We would like you to create your own 'world' or theme park based on 'Dino World'. The end goal is to create a leaflet to advertise your new and exciting park.

The information is in the 'Resources' folder on the website. See below for today's task.

Maths is going to be a little more structured this week: Flashback 4, Problem of the Day and the next White Rose Lesson.

Don't think we've forgotten about Computing. We'd like you, if you can (otherwise, choose an activity from the grid), to practise your typing skills. A '2Do' has been set for you on Purple Mash. If you want a challenge, put something over your hands so you can't see the keyboard, and remember, use two hands and all fingers!
