Hi Year 6,
How are you all? We are really missing you and hope that you are staying safe and keeping positive. What a glorious weekend it was! Getting out in the sunshine really helps us to stay happy - what are you doing to keep yourself upbeat?
English: This week's theme is... Goldilocks! Bet you weren't expecting that! But, like always in Year 6, we are going to approach the classic from a different angle, with a bit of a twist.
Maths: Some of you will be pleased that the angles topic is finished, and you'll be even more pleased to know that we will be moving on to... fractions! Let me hear you say 'yeah'!
We have already looked at fractions in school so some of this will be recapping skills already learnt. However, there will be some new learning too, so give it your best shot!
(Slight change: Resources will be at the bottom of this page; as of next week, they will no longer be available on the website, just the video)
Art: We normally have 'Mrs Walker's Art Thursdays' but this week is special and we're doing it today instead. Why? Because this Friday is VE Day so we need to prepare the celebrations for that. It is a day to remember and celebrate the end of the fighting in Europe during the Second World War. It ended 75 years ago in May 1945.
See Mrs Walker's video for more detail, and as always, we'd love to see what you produce!
