A task to complete for September

We would really like to find out a little bit more about you so we would like you to create a newspaper report all about yourself. You might want to include:

  • Your hobbies.
  • Your special talents.
  • Can you speak any other languages?
  • Which exciting places have you visited?
  • Any achievements outside of school.

You could create your own layout or use one of the templates at the bottom of the page. You can bring your report into school in September or email it to us using the email addresses below. We will use these for a display in September and then collate them in a class book so please present them beautifully.

Here are some examples of what your newspaper report might look like.

We would also like you to take part in the summer reading challenge.

https://summerreadingchallenge.org.uk/

Reading is so important so even if you don’t take part in the challenge, please keep reading those books. Remember what Dr Seuss once said:

You may want to see how far you can progress up the leader board by trying out some Oddizzi Umbuzo quizzes - https://www.oddizzi.com/teachers/quiz

Your teachers have sent a text with your new password.

If you would like some more activity ideas to enjoy over summer, take a look at this list of 50 things to do before you are 11:

https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/features/50-things-to-do-before-youre-11--activity-list

You also have access to Time Tables Rock Star and Spelling Shed. It would be great if you knew all of your Yr3/Yr4 statutory spellings before September. We will set it as an assignment on Spelling Shed for if you choose to go on.

Above all, we would like you to enjoy your holiday, relax and recharge your worn-out batteries ready for a new and exciting year ahead.

If you have any questions about Year 5 or want to email your newspaper report to us, please use the following email addresses.
