Hi Year 6, Another day of riddles. Can you work out these ones?
1) What has a head, a tail, is brown, and has no legs?
2) What is so fragile that saying its name breaks it?
3) What can fill a room but takes up no space?
4) What has one eye,but can't see?
A quick word starter to get your brains going this morning! If you're at home why not the whole family to join in. If you're in school - try to beat the children (and teachers) in your bubble!
Onto chapter 12 of Ickabog- The King's Lost Sword - let's get reading!
At the beginning of the chapter, the King's party were described as being in 'fog was so dense they couldn’t see their own hands in front of their faces'.
Imagine you had lost your sense of sight. Write a short descriptive paragraph of what it would be like walking through school during lunchtime. You are going to have to rely on your other senses, for example, the sound of children playing, the smell of dinner, the touch wind whipping against your cheek outside, etc.
Always good to start with a game of countdown!
Today we are moving onto looking at area of different triangles.
Leaver's activity today is a Spanish task set by Mrs Weston. These sheets are not photocopied so draw them out onto your plain paper. Try and write the correct answers in Spanish. When you draw and colour in the rainbow - write the Spanish colours underneath to help you remember them.
