Learning Together, Growing Stronger.

Wednesday 17th June

Hi Year 6,

Half way through the week already! Have you had fun learning some new tongue twisters. Why not send us a video of you saying your favourite one to put on the website? It would be lovely to have a nice collection.

English: Let's do another Pobble. This picture makes me want to go outside for a run!

Next chapter of The Ickabog. Are you enjoying it?

Imagine that each year Queen Elizabeth II holds a Day of Petition. On this day you can ask her to fix any three things that are wrong in your country, local area or anywhere on the planet (you may have already though of these from the 'Prime Minister' leaver's task). What are your three wishes?

Today, we'd like you to write your speech, what you would say when addressing Queen Elizabeth II. Once you've written your speech you might like to record or video you saying it. We'd love to see and/or hear them!

Maths: Did you know that there are two ways of measuring: the metric system and the imperial system. Today we are going to look at the metric system. If you have time, it might be worth researching what measurements are found in the imperial system. How many have you heard of?

Leaver's Booklet: Today is an arty one. We would like you to complete a self portrait. You will need a mirror or camera phone, iPad, etc so you can look at yourself and your features in more detail. Take your time and I think you'll be surprised by what you produce!
