Healthy Holidays Club
Dear Parents and Carers, we are delighted to inform that Alwoodley Primary School will be running a Healthy Holidays Club during the Easter Holidays 2025 for children in Reception to Year 6. The club will run for 8 days on the dates below.
Week 1
Monday 7th April
Tuesday 8th April
Wednesday 9th April
Thursday 10th April
Week 2
Monday 14th April
Tuesday 15th April
Wednesday 16th April
Thursday 17th April
You are welcome to book your child onto as many of the days as you would like. The club will run from 10am until 3pm. Please be mindful that all places which are reserved and confirmed by the deadline must be taken as activities are funding to the number of children attending. Please also note that paid places must be paid for by the same deadline of Friday 14th March 2025.
The focus for the provision is firmly based on the following:
Healthy Diet and Nutrition
Exercise and outdoor activity
Easter activities
Depending on the day your child attends the activities may include:
- Basketball
- Tennis
- Table Tennis
- Self Defence
- First Aid
- Arts and Crafts
- OPAL sessions
- Gardening workshop
- Cookery workshops
There will of course also be trips out as part of the club. These will be on the following days:
Monday 7th April - Ninja Warrior, Seacroft, Leeds : Reception, Y1, Y2 and Y3 only
Tuesday 8th April - Ninja Warrior, Seacroft, Leeds : Y4, Y5 and Y6 only
Monday 14th April - Nell Bank, Otley : Reception, Y1, Y2 and Y3 only
Tuesday 15rh April - Nell Bank: Y4, Y5 and Y6 only
The holiday club is fully funded for Pupil Premium/Free School Meal children and will include all trips, activities, materials, food and drink for each day attended.
The club is also open to non-pupil premium children and the charge per day for this provision will be £25. (A discounted rate of £20 per extra sibling is offered). This charge will include all trips, activities, materials, food and drink each day attended.
If you would like your child to attend places can ONLY be booked by registering your child on the Leeds Healthy Holidays website (see the link below) and once this is done school will allocate your place to your chosen days. If your child has already been registered previously on the Healthy Holidays website, then you will not have to do this again.
The school has sent out a form to complete which will allow you to choose the days you would like your child/children to attend. Please complete this form as soon as possible as places are limited.
