Important things to remember
Children need to come to school in their P.E. kits on a Wednesday and a Friday. During some sessions we will try and go outside for our P.E. sessions so please ensure that the children will be dressed in something that will keep them warm.
We would like to remind you that the school’s PE kit is a white t-shirt, black shorts and a dark coloured track suit. Your child will also need suitable outside trainers. All of this MUST BE CLEARLY LABELLED with your child’s name and class.
Every Monday the Home Learning will be uploaded onto Google Classroom. Information will be on there about the tasks the children must complete that week. Nothing needs to be submitted onto Google Classroom unless stated.
Your child’s Home Learning books (maths and reading CGP books) need to be returned to school every Monday and will be sent home the same day.
On a Monday, we will carry out a short, informal spelling test in a Spelling Book. These will be marked in school and your child will be told their score.

Statutory Y3/Y4 Spellings
In Year 3 we all have our own TTrockstars login to help us learn our times tables.
When it comes to times tables, speed AND accuracy are important – the more facts your child remembers, the easier it is for them to do harder calculations. Times Table Rock Stars is a fun and challenging programme designed to help pupils master the times tables. To be a Times Table Rock Star you need to answer any multiplication fact up to 12×12 in less than 3 seconds!
As in Year Two your child will need to bring into school their reading books and book bags every day. Home school reading records will be sent home for you to record any comments about your child's reading. Please feel to write comments in each time you hear your child read.
To improve our key reading skills, we use the reading VIPERS prompts.
